Pick what suits you: Consignment (we sell for you) or a quick Buyout (we pay you on the spot).
Consignment — you bring items, we sell for you
How it works
Agreement. Complete our consignment agreement (once-off if you consign frequently).
Drop-off or ship. In-store: we authenticate, discuss price/condition, then list online and display in-store. Shipping: email the signed agreement to info@thebackdoor.co.za with item info (brand, silhouette, colour, size, condition, listing price), then send via courier/PostNet at your cost and risk; we authenticate, list, and display.
Fees & payment. Sneakers, accessories & clothing (new or pre-owned): 20% fee. When your item sells, we pay out the following Wednesday or Thursday. Payout = listing price − consignment fee.

Buyout — we buy on the spot
How it works
Bring your item(s). We evaluate and authenticate, then discuss a price with you.
Get paid via EFT. Once we agree, we buy you out immediately. Note, payment will be done on buyout only after item is authenticated
Remote sellers (outside Johannesburg)
Contact us. DM @the.back_door or email info@thebackdoor.co.za.
Include details. Brand, silhouette, colour, size, condition, clear pictures, and the price you’re willing to sell for.
Offer & logistics. We’ll reply with an offer; on agreement, we’ll arrange drop-off/shipping and payment.
